Coming to visit us in Birmingham over the weekend? Then let us help you out.
Where is Southside?
Southside is a 5 minute walk from Birmingham’s 2 main train stations New Street and Moor Street. The main area of the festival is based in-and-around the HURST STREET area.
Here is a link to the map of our venues.
Are all the events free?
Most of the events we are putting on are free of charge. A few of the workshops have a small fee to cover material costs.
Where can I find out what is going on?
Just take a look at our Timetable and Venue pages for details. As more events are added will update the pages to keep you informed.
I’m from out of town. Can you recommend accommodation?
You bet. There are some great places to stay around Southside. Our partner hotel this year is the stylish Radisson Blu on Smallbrook Queensway (just around the corner from all of the action). They are offering discounted rates of £99.00 per night for a double room (single occupancy), to include breakfast and wifi, or £109.00 per night for a double/twin room (double/twin occupancy), to include breakfast and wifi.
To book please call 0121 654 6000 and quote ‘Eye Candy’. Or visit the links below:

Where do you recommend for food & drink?
Southside is so full of restaurants and bars you will be spoiled for choice. Whatever cuisine you like (especially Chinese and Vietnamese) and at whatever time there is plenty to choose from. You’ll find a mix of bars from quiet and hip to full on party.
Our friends at stylish new French Brasserie Le Truc are cutting us a deal on food during the event for our artists and visitors. More details to be announced soon.
